Crypto market stress is not simply additive. A rise in E can increase inflation expectations, which tightens financial conditions. Higher F can increase demand for alternative settlement. In a basic scenario simulation, a contained diplomatic deadlock might produce modest risk premiums and short-lived volatility. A sanctions dispute with European noncompliance would create wider regional spreads and higher stablecoin demand outside the regulated dollar system. A military escalation near the Strait of Hormuz would combine an energy shock with liquidity hoarding. The result could be a paradox: demand for digital dollars rises because users seek portability, while confidence in centralized digital dollars falls because the same portability is subject to issuer-level controls.
The Strait is the physical bottleneck behind this model. Large volumes of global oil pass through it every day.
